Experienced. Certified. Supportive.
Cheryl Amyx – Entrepreneur, Educator, Coach
I am a business woman and entrepreneur who successfully created, managed and sold a program management and information management firm dedicated to improving systems and processes for the United States Government; my largest client was the Department of Defense.
My experience running my own business and serving the Government, led to the development of The 4 Cornerstones of an Effective Organization or “4CEO”. The Cornerstones are a holistic approach to business, where entrepreneurs can incorporate a new business perspective to continually assess their foundation and achieve a balanced state, both for the company and for themselves. The Cornerstones are not only the magic I had in place that made my own company successful, but are also a social response to help other entrepreneurs. When your company cornerstones are aligned, the elusive "balance" comes naturally.
When I created my business, there were few female business owners to emulate and no mentors to be found. Successful women typically climbed their way to the top solo and took signals from their male counterparts to be tough as nails. I wished I had a mentor or coach, but at that time, the successful women weren’t talking! It is my objective to help other entrepreneurs and CEO's grow and thrive.
I now run 4CEO, Inc., a business consulting and coaching service providing strategic insights and business consulting, education, and coaching for growing companies and growing leaders. I intuitively help others look deep into their heart for divine power and creative solutions to every business problem. I am also a Board Advisor to George Mason University School of Business, and sponsor for George Mason University’s first Innovation Lab for entrepreneurs.
I am the recipient of several business awards and have been a mentor and sponsor for women and girls through the years, including Women in Technology, Women in Defense, Heroines in Technology, Peace Through Business, and Women Impacting Public Policy – a public policy organization that advocates for legislation on behalf of women and minorities in business. I was also given the prestigious honor of being in the Washington Business Journal, Women Who Mean Business Alumni.
